Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Bites: An Easy, Buttery Treat in Minutes

Bite-sized biscuits coated in cinnamon sugar—buttery, sweet, and ready in minutes. Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a quick dessert.

Ingredients

For the Biscuit Bites:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 Tbsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

  • 3/4 cup cold milk (or buttermilk)

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

    Instructions

    1. Preheat and prepare. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    2. Mix the dry ingredients. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

    3. Cut in the butter. Add the cold cubed butter and cut it into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs.

    4. Add the milk. Pour in the cold milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

    5. Form the bites. Scoop or roll the dough into small 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

    6. Bake. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden brown.

    7. Make the coating. While the bites bake, combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Melt the butter in a separate bowl.

    8. Coat the bites. Once baked, let the bites cool for 2–3 minutes. Dip each one in the melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

    9. Serve. Enjoy warm for the best flavor and texture!

      Notes

      • Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

      • Make ahead: Prepare the dough and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.

      • Variation: Add a pinch of nutmeg or a drizzle of vanilla glaze for extra flavor.
