Neighbor Judy’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, softened
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 bag (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and light brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Adjust the size of the cookies to your preference.
- Bake for 8-9 minutes, or until the tops of the cookies have a light touch of brown.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes to finish cooking.
- Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
