Creamy, fruity, and impossibly easy — this warm, no-bake dip tastes just like cheesecake, and the slow cooker does all the work.
Why You'll Love It
With just four ingredients and about 90 minutes in the slow cooker, you get a silky, crowd-pleasing dessert that's perfect for parties, holidays, or casual snacking. No oven, no water bath, no fuss.
Ingredients
16 oz (2 blocks) cream cheese – softened and cut into small cubes
1 cup strawberry jam (or preserves)
1 cup sour cream
½ cup granulated sugar
Equipment
2–4 quart slow cooker
Spoon or small whisk
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the slow cooker
Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick spray or a little butter. Place the cubed cream cheese in an even layer at the bottom.
Tip: Smaller cubes (about ½ inch) melt faster and give you a lump-free dip.
Step 2: Add remaining ingredients
Spoon the strawberry jam, sour cream, and sugar on top of the cream cheese. Give it one quick stir — it's fine if it looks lumpy or uneven at this point.
Step 3: Slow cook
Cover and cook on LOW for 1½ to 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
Why stir? Regular stirring helps the cream cheese melt evenly, prevents separation, and creates that smooth, velvety texture.
Step 4: Finish and serve
Once the dip is hot and all ingredients are fully combined, stir (or whisk) until silky and uniform. Switch the slow cooker to the WARM setting for serving.
You'll know it's ready when:
The dip is smooth and pale pink
It's thick but still spoonable — like warm pudding
No lumps of cream cheese remain
Serving Ideas
With graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or shortbread cookies
Alongside fresh strawberries, apple slices, or banana chunks
Drizzled over pound cake or waffles as a dessert topping
As a filling for crepes or thumbprint cookies
Make-Ahead & Storage
Make ahead: Prepare the dip as directed, then cool and refrigerate. Reheat gently in the slow cooker on LOW, stirring occasionally.
Leftovers: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Serve cold (it firms up like cheesecake) or reheat.
