Ingredients & Tools:
Eggs, any size
Ice and water (for ice bath)
Air fryer
Bowl for ice bath
Salt, pepper, or preferred seasoning (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Air Fryer
Set your air fryer to 270°F (130°C). If your model runs cooler, adjust to 275°F (135°C).
2. Arrange the Eggs
Place eggs directly in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Do not overcrowd—leave space between each egg so air can circulate freely.
3. Cook to Your Preferred Doneness
For soft-boiled (runny yolk): 9–10 minutes
For medium-boiled (jammy yolk): 11–12 minutes
For hard-boiled (fully set yolk): 13–15 minutes
4. Cool Immediately
As soon as the eggs are done cooking, transfer them to a bowl of ice water for at least 5 minutes.
This stops the cooking process, prevents gray yolks, and makes peeling easier.
5. Peel and Serve
Gently tap each egg to crack the shell, then peel under cool running water if needed.
Enjoy as is with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, or use in salads, ramen, or toast.
Quick Tips for Success:
Peeling Ease: Slightly older eggs tend to peel more easily than very fresh ones.
Batch Prep: Cook multiple eggs at once—perfect for meal prepping.
Serving Ideas: Top with smoked paprika, everything bagel seasoning, or sliced over avocado toast.
